The mountains are calling - let's go & see them! Jungfraujoch is the is the Unesco world heritage of the Swiss alps and Europe's highest train station. This tour is a must for everyone visiting Switzerland and on this journey it's not the destination alone that counts, but the whole 11 hour trip through astonishing landscapes through various cantons. Experience the beautiful Pass Brünig with traditional Bernoise cottages and turquoise lakes. Inhale the fresh air and savor! Grindelwald: the picturesque village submontane of Eiger, Mönch und Jungrau is definitely worth as visit and we can top off the visit with a local cheese tasting and take the train or the cable car up to the Jungfrau. This is also the highest train station of Europe on 13'000 feet/3'454m.
✴️ 07:30 early start at the hotel. ✴️ Straight on to the highway towards Bürnig Pass, with a first stop at a viewpoint overlooking amazing Lake Lungern. ✴️ Let's take a little break from driving and do a small hike through the famous village of Grindelwald, while I prepare a cheese tasting of local mountain cheese produced by local Swiss farmers. ✴️ Two options - you choose: A: Take the train right from Grindelwald station up to the top of Jungfraujoch and (changing to cogwheel train on the Kleine Scheidegg) ⏱Approx. travel time: 70mins B: Take the cable car Eigerexpress from Grindelwald Terminal to Eigergletscher (changing to cogwheel train from there) and go up to the stunning top of Europe. Approx ⏱Approx. travel time: 45mins ✴️ Spending some time visiting the various attractions such as the Sphinx Observation Terrace overlooking Europes longest glacier: Aletsch! ✴️While you are enjoying your tour, I will be driving around the mountains and pick you up in Lauterbrunnen.
