I also enjoy reading and spend a lot of time in the library studying ancient documents and works by historians. I'm married and have two adult sons. Overview of your Zurich tour
Switzerland's capital Bern is one of the smallest in Europe, just 130, 000 inhabitants. Actually, there are no documents confirming this status. Bur the Swiss Parliament is located here, all the embassies of all countries are here and every Swiss school pupil will not hesitate to answer which city is the capital of Switzerland. Founded in the 12th century according to an innovative foundation plan, it's located on a hill surrounded by the river Aare, which meanders almost 360 degrees, forming a natural peninsula. What makes it special are the 6-km long arcades. They make Bern the perfect destination for visits in all weathers. We're going to see the modern and spacious bear park with living symbols of the city, many ornate fountains from the 16th century, Switzerland's tallest church - Bern cathedral, Einstein-Haus, where Albert Einstein lived and developed his theory of relativity. We admire the moving figures of the famous clocktower and marvel at the Swiss Parliament building.

Bern is a city made for walking, because it's impossible to get around the main sites by car. There are many options to get to Bern: we can use fast, comfortable, and punctual Swiss trains; we can go in my car or I can arrange to arrive in more style in a limousine etc. If you decide to go by train, please let me know in advance. Perhaps I can book chip tickets. The price and time given are for a tour by a guide's car.
