Half Day Tour of the BEST of Zurich

Evelyne gave us an excellent half-day tour of Zurich, Switzerland. Our tour consisted of walking around the old town, as well as sightseeing stops along the way in her comfortable car. A highlight: we visited the lovely Fraumünster, with its Chagall stained glass windows. She is knowledgeable about her hometown. She is friendly, and she communicated well prior to the tour (via the Tours by Locals messaging tool). Due to circumstances beyond our control we requested a slightly later start time for our tour. She adapted our time with her in a way that did not detract from the tour. This speaks well of another positive trait of hers: adaptability. For example we needed to stop for a quick bite to eat, and Evelyne knew of just the right place to go: a take-away sausage eatery, frequented by locals; it was perfect for our needs. In summary, one cannot go wrong choosing Evelyne to be your guide in Zurich.

Finding the right guide can make or break a trip, and Evelyne was truly a great choice for us in Zurich. We spent a half-day with her, and she managed the rare feat of making a multigenerational family feel completely at home and equally entertained. ​She had this wonderful way of sharing her deep knowledge of the city that feels less like a lecture and more like a conversation with a friend. What we appreciated most was her kindness and flexibility; she moved at our pace, never rushing us, and seemed to intuitively know when we needed a break or a shift in the itinerary. ​Evelyne didn’t just show us the sights, she went out of her way to make sure every single one of us was having a genuinely good time while helping us feel safe in a country we had never been. It’s clear she truly cares about her guests and takes pride in her city. We left the tour feeling like we’d seen the real Zurich through the eyes of someone who loves it. If you’re looking for a guide who is as patient, fun and personable as she is knowledgeable, Evelyne is a true gem.

Our tour with Evelyne was perfect. 4 of us in a car seeing Zurich from spots that most tours can't take you when walking - and her knowledge of the city gave us an insiders view of the workings of this capital of finance. From chocolate to scenic overlooks and some history in-between, Evelyn had us covered. We were picked up in a spacious car and her attention to our groups needs was remarkable. Highly recommended as a fun, sophisticated and engaging guide - thanks Evelyne!
