Grüezi, Bonjour, Buongiorno, Allegra Hikers and nature lovers, join me on fascinating trips through unique Swiss landscapes, wilderness and mountains and maybe have the possibility to see wildlife in their natural habitat, to hear roaring waterfalls and to listen to the fresh snow crunching under the snowshoes. Follow me on these great adventures. My name is Markus. I am a born and bred Swiss and have been living all my life by the lake of Zurich. I have been hiking since I was a small child and decided to turn my beloved hobby into profession. I passed hiking trainings in the Grisons and Valais (school affiliated to ASAM). I see it as a great opportunity to share with you my knowledge and my experience as a hiking Leader with Federal Diploma of Professional Education. I am covering the Swiss landscapes and mid-range mountains with groups all year round, which means not only I'm guiding people on beautiful hikes but also to fantastic snowshoe tours all around Switzerland whose most parts I know like the palm of my hand. Apart from being a hiking guide, I have successfully passed the Swiss Ranger training and hold now the title of a Ranger with diploma BZW Lyss, Switzerland. With this certificate in my hands I can be a better guide. The ranger is a contact person between human and nature (wild life, environment, flora, fauna) and cares for a sustainable natural balance. This is also a part of my job as vice president of the Snowshoe Association of Switzerland where I am developing snowshoe trails which are safe for the user, respectful of wild life, forest, environment and nature. In 2012, I passed the GeoGuide training which enriched my experience as a hiking guide with more geological skills. I have been a hiking and snowshoeing guide since many years, my strengths are having and taking the time to lead participants as you to beautiful landscapes, places one can see wild life in its natural environment, being patient and versatile, sharing my knowledge of geography - I know Switzerland from east to west, north to south-, history and culture and I speak 5 languages. Here we have an excellent and very efficient public transportation, you will not need a car to go on my trips. Everywhere I will take you we can rely on them; especially in the mountains it is easier to travel by train, busses, cable car, chairlift etc. In addition, it gives us full liberty of our journey and to alternate routes. Join me on a fantastic Swiss hike! We may even celebrate this occasion with a marvelous Swiss fondue! - Hiking Leader with Federal Diploma of Professional Education and Training - Ongoing advanced training in first aid, avalanche, orientation, general security etc. - Hiking and Snowshoeing Trainings ASAM/UIMLA (Union of International Mountain Leader Associations), BAW - Ranger with diploma BZW Lyss, Switzerland - GeoGuide Sardona (Unesco heritage region) - Training courses in tourism - Swiss Federal Certificate for Adult Trainers - IT trainer - Master Instructor Microsoft Office - PC Supporter SIZ

Overview of your Zurich tour

Spectactular train trip from Zurich via Lucerne and along lakes and with the steepest cogwheel train in the world up to Mount Pilatus and back on a different way. Mount Pilatus: The world's steepest cogwheel railway or the panorama gondolas and aerial cableway. Pilatus offers a unique alpine experience! Possibilities of short walks on the top of the mountain. We will enjoy a picnic with typical local Swiss products I bring with me or if you prefer, have lunch in a fine panoramic restaurant on the top of Mount Pilatus (not included). On the way back from Mount Pilatus to Lucerne we will either take cable cars and a bus or the cog train and boat. Different combinations are possible but depend on the season. In winter (November to End of April) only version with cable car. For the rest, you take the decision up to your convenience!

Your Zurich tour itinerary

- With train to Lucerne - Boat ride (in winter with train or bus) on Lake Lucerne - With one of steepest cog trains in the world to Pilatus - About 1. 5 hours on the top of PIlatus to enjoy the great panoramic view. Time may be adapted to your wishes and weather. - Cable car and bus to Lucerne - Short guided visit of Lucerne and some free time (about 1. 5 hours in total) - Train back to Zurich
