From Zurich, we journey to the Bernese Oberland and the cliffside village of Mürren. Perched at 1,600m above the Lauterbrunnen Valley—Tolkien’s inspiration for Rivendell—this car-free outpost offers front-row seats to the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. It is the cradle of alpine skiing, where Arnold Lunn founded the Kandahar Club in 1924 and launched the world’s craziest amateur race: the Inferno. The ultimate target is the Schilthorn (2,970m). Immortalized in the 1969 film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, the summit’s revolving restaurant, Piz Gloria, remains a high-altitude temple to the 007 myth. Here, you can enjoy a Bond-themed breakfast with a 360° view of 200 alpine peaks. The Bond experience: Piz Gloria: A panoramic lunch in the legendary restaurant that completes a full rotation every 45 minutes. Bond World: An interactive exhibition where you can step into original film sets and relive 007 magic. Thrill Walk: A steel pathway clinging to the rock at Birg—pure adrenaline.
Your Zurich tour itinerary
09:00 — Departure from Zurich. We head toward Interlaken, the gateway to the Bernese Oberland. The journey continues to Lauterbrunnen, the valley of waterfalls, followed by a spectacular ascent via cable car and mountain train to the car-free village of Mürren. From Mürren, we ascend to the summit of Schilthorn (Piz Gloria). After immersing yourself in the world of 007 and alpine panoramas, we descend back to the valley via the world's steepest cable car (159.4% gradient) and return to the hotel by evening. 19:00–20:00 — Arrival in Zurich.
