Day excursion - Mountains and culture: Excursion to Mount Titlis and Engelberg + city walk in Lucerne

Mount Titlis, with more than 3000 mt height is located close to famous mountain retreat Engelberg, only 1 hour from Lucerne. Several funiculars bring you to the summit Station from where you have an awesome view to many striking summits, such as Wetterhorn and Sustenhorn. Close to the summit station, there is one of the most thrilling attractions of Central Switzerland, TITLIS Cliff Walk, 3, 041 meters above sea level and 500 meters off the ground. After a fascinating stay in the world of ice, snow and rock you descend with the revolving funicular and have plenty of time to explore charming Engelberg with its shops, cheese factory and monastery. In the afternoon we explore Lucerne on foot in app. 3 hours. Located in the centre of Switzerland, on the shore of Lake Lucerne and right at the base of Pilatus Lucerne is definately the most scenic city of Switzerland. It gained its wealth due to the location on the trading route between Italy and Germany and many buildings give you an insight of the precious past.
