Full Day Highlights tour of Gran Canaria

In this very complete tour we will start by visiting the sand dunes of Maspalomas, at the south of the island, where we usually find clear blue sky and sunny warm weather. After enjoying what probably is the most famous interesting point of Gran Canaria we will head towards he north of the island following the east road; and our next stop will take place in one of our most iconic Ravines: the isolated and charming Guayadeque ravine. It is full of history, archaeology and ethnographic interest. In fact we will have our tapas stop here, inside a cave restaurant!

After enjoying some local gastronomy we will visit the nearby village of Agüimes, where the traditional buildings and the colours and peace of it streets will delight us.

And last but not least, we will go atop the last volcanic mountain that was active in the island, where we will enjoy a 360º viewpoint, and what a viewpoint to end our day!

Half Day Roque Nublo Hike

Birdwatching Daytrip to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve

We will go to the summit of the island to get into the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and look for our very rare blue treasure: the Gran Canaria Blue Chaffinch, recently classified as a new species. Known as Fringilla teydea subspecies polaztekii, and reclassified in 2015 as Fringilla polaztekii, with around 300 birds in the whole world, all living in this island.

Once we finish in the Blue chaffinch territory, we will go for the laurel pigeon (Columba junoniae), also a Canarian endemism that nests in the rainforests of the north.
We will spot more birds on our way, almost all of them endemic species or subspecies for this island, the archipelago or Macaronesia!

This route is good not only for the birder but also for Nature and Culture lovers because we are going to delight ourselves with majestic landscapes and natural history! As well as local gastronomy!

Full Island tour of Gran Canaria

Following in the footsteps of the ancient Canarios - Gran Canaria Full Day Shore Excursion

The first inhabitants lived isolated over 1000 years. Discover who they were and how they lived. Enter in a very special place unknown to the general public: sacred pre-hispanic caves. These caves were used to live but also for other purposes. To get there we will walk for 30 minutes (one way), and 30 minutes on the way back. We will also observe endemic flora of the island and enjoy of gorgeous views of the surroundings, while learning about the life and customs of the ancient Canarios.
Afterwards, we will visit one of the places that is arousing the greatest interest among travelers and visitors to the island, El Barranco de las Vacas, a channel through which water circulated hundreds of years ago and its volcanic tuff has been molded creating capricious shapes and interesting water marks.
