Hi! My name is Guillermo and I am truly passionate about showing and sharing the beautiful things that Gran Canaria has to offer to curious travellers! I really love spending time in the outdoors of this magnificent "Miniature Continent". I like diving and snorkeling in the ocean, riding a motorbike slowly on this astonishing roads, walking through the volcanic landscapes, hiking, visiting ancient archaeological sites, travelling back in time with the mysterious history of the first civilization that settled in this land, observing the smallest details and the biggest treasures that Nature offers us. Being a tour guide is my life. I really enjoy my work! I have been working as a tour guide since 2004. In my first part-time job I was wilderness tour leader in the surroundings of Doñana National Park, in Huelva and Sevilla, where I was finishing my degree in environmental sciences. I arrived in Gran Canaria to work as a health and safety inspector, and I just fell in love with this land: nature, the landscapes, all that heritage including an absolutely remarkable archaeology. The Island really got me, and I decided that I had to spend my time and energy doing what I do best: showing all this beauty, sharing all this natural and cultural heritage as a personal guide. I began as a specialised birdwatching guide; but today I can tell that the experiences that I try to provide are the perfect mixture of nature, culture, landscapes, legends and gastronomy; delivering that in a professional way but also as if I were showing the island to my friends or relatives when they come to visit me. The results are always the same: priceless faces and reactions; the feeling that you have really squeezed the best out of your time in Gran Canaria, and a sentence that is repeated again and again: "I didn't expect Gran Canaria to be like this!" Do you want to join me? Do you want to feel the energy? This place is full of it! - Certified Official Canary Islands Tour Guide (GTCAN nº3886) - Working as a wildlife tour leader since 2004 - Environmental Science Degree (University of Huelva 2000-2005) - Masters Degree in Health and Safety • My activities are authorized by the Canarias Government with the registration numbers: NR-35-1-0002760 and 35-1-000276. In this very complete tour we will start by visiting the sand dunes of Maspalomas, at the south of the island, where we usually find clear blue sky and sunny warm weather. After enjoying what probably is the most famous interesting point of Gran Canaria we will head towards he north of the island following the east road; and our next stop will take place in one of our most iconic Ravines: the isolated and charming Guayadeque ravine. It is full of history, archaeology and ethnographic interest. In fact we will have our tapas stop here, inside a cave restaurant! After enjoying some local gastronomy we will visit the nearby village of Agüimes, where the traditional buildings and the colours and peace of it streets will delight us. And last but not least, we will go atop the last volcanic mountain that was active in the island, where we will enjoy a 360º viewpoint, and what a viewpoint to end our day!
During this tour we will visit: -Maspalomas sand Dunes -Guayadeque Ravine -Agüimes traditional village -Bandama volcanoes
