A real journey in time in which you are going to enjoy not only famous spots, but also top secret locations only known by real locals. You will discover the spectacular Barranco de las Vacas; where hundreds of years ago water flowed in unimaginable ways, sculpting its walls in such a way that today it looks like a scene from a distant planet. Later we will visit and tell you the secrets of a surprising hidden cave, excavated by the first inhabitants of the island, a hidden gem that will leave you open-mouthed And we will finish with a visit to a cute hamlet in which you will discover how life happens out of touristic crowds. During the trip, we will offer you a picnic with sandwiches, fruits and local cheese. Please notice: Due to the duration of this tour, lunch at a restaurant cannot be included. If you would like this option, the price and duration of the tour will change.
We used Ines and Juanjo for our day in Gran Canaria They are a funny and unique couple that we enjoyed spending the day with and the have a different way of celebrating their wonderful island. You can tell they love their home and show us some unique things you will not get on other tours
Another excellent tour (we booked 4) with Ines and Juan. We don't see how one could possibly enjoy Gran Canaria without a guide and we can't imagine any guide better then these two. This was a very special day and one that would be impossible to do on your own. We researched the Islands before we came, but didn't really get a feel for how much we would enjoy the area. Highest recommendation!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Ines & Juan. They picked us up right outside the secure area of the cruise terminal. Their van was clean and spacious. Ines & Juan timed our tour perfectly. We were able to get to the Barranco de las Vacas trail before the crowds. We were actually able to get pictures without a crowd of people in the pictures. The hike up to the cave settlement was great. Ines set a pace that was comfortable and allowed us to enjoy the views. Ines & Juan's tour of the caves was very in depth and informative as well as alot of fun. They provided a picnic for us to enjoy while taking in the views from the caves which was awesome. We enjoyed several other scenic stops. Ines and Juan were friendly, informative and alot of fun. We had a great day with them. We highly recommend Ines & Juan as your tour guides.
Our tour was FANTASTIC! Inez and Juango were so informative and entertaining for the entire tour. They call you familia and truly make you feel that way. We had a couple ladies on our tour that were more challenged with the short hike on rocky path, but. They both persevered and with help from our guides, everyone had a wonderful time! They even made lunch for us which included some of the best fresh fruit ever! JUST DO IT!
Ines & Juan are devoted to showing you their island and its past. They are very invested into their presentation and the whole experience. They were very accomidating to us as older visitors and made sure that we were comfortable in our experience.
Our small group of two couples were fortunate to have booked Inés & Juanjo as our guides while our ship was in port in Gran Canaria. They were energetic, engaging, and entertaining, but most importantly they were educational. This is not a normal tour--this one goes to spots that are not touristy and which provide a perfect backdrop to help us understand what life is like on Gran Canaria interspersed with the history. And they locally-based picnic lunch they provided was great. By the end of the day, we felt we knew them and understood why they are so proud to be Canarians. I would recommend these guides and this tour most highly.
We will pick you at Las Palmas port and drive to the South East of the island, to discover the famous Barranco de Las Vacas, located in the "Red Canyon" of Gran Canaria. This incredible location offers you the possibility to take amazing pictures. We will take our time to explain you also the nature of the location and how it has evolved during the last 2, 000 years. Our next stop will be to discover a cave settlement that was built 1, 000 years ago by the Ancient Canarians. This involves some easy walking (about 0, 5 miles) through a beautiful landscape located in the midlands of the island. this is a place that is out of the tourist guides, and that only an authentic local guide will be able to show you; in this way we will be able to preserve this place in good condition and avoid massive visits. Finally, we will visit a tiny village in which time seems to have stopped 100 years ago. You will be the only tourist in this place; and you will be able to meet some of the friendly people who live there.
