Hi! My name is Guillermo and I am truly passionate about showing and sharing the beautiful things that Gran Canaria has to offer to curious travellers! I really love spending time in the outdoors of this magnificent "Miniature Continent". I like diving and snorkeling in the ocean, riding a motorbike slowly on this astonishing roads, walking through the volcanic landscapes, hiking, visiting ancient archaeological sites, travelling back in time with the mysterious history of the first civilization that settled in this land, observing the smallest details and the biggest treasures that Nature offers us. Being a tour guide is my life. I really enjoy my work! I have been working as a tour guide since 2004. In my first part-time job I was wilderness tour leader in the surroundings of Doñana National Park, in Huelva and Sevilla, where I was finishing my degree in environmental sciences. I arrived in Gran Canaria to work as a health and safety inspector, and I just fell in love with this land: nature, the landscapes, all that heritage including an absolutely remarkable archaeology. The Island really got me, and I decided that I had to spend my time and energy doing what I do best: showing all this beauty, sharing all this natural and cultural heritage as a personal guide. I began as a specialised birdwatching guide; but today I can tell that the experiences that I try to provide are the perfect mixture of nature, culture, landscapes, legends and gastronomy; delivering that in a professional way but also as if I were showing the island to my friends or relatives when they come to visit me. The results are always the same: priceless faces and reactions; the feeling that you have really squeezed the best out of your time in Gran Canaria, and a sentence that is repeated again and again: "I didn't expect Gran Canaria to be like this!" Overview of your Las Palmas De Gran Canaria tour

During this tour, we will walk through the historical quarters of Vegueta and Triana including two museums: The Canarian Museum, focused on the archaeology of the first inhabitants of the island; and the Columbus Museum, where we will discover the relation between Christopher Columbus and the Canary Islands. After enjoying a taste of our history, we will go to the north of the most famous beach in the city: La Playa de Las Canteras, where we will finish our trip with the best views of our bays in an area. Here is full of good restaurants to eat good fresh fish by the sea. Maybe you could have a swim and savour an ice-cream before going back to your cruise ship! ** You can book this tour also if you are not on a Cruise ship.

Guillermo is truly a gem. My wife and I both use mobility scooters and Guillermo went out of his way to provide us with an excellent tour. We travel extensively and Guillermo was by far one of the best guys we have ever had. He was knowledgeable on everything about the Canary Islands and answered every question we had. He even went out of his way to go shopping for a Canarian banana so that we could try it. I would highly recommend him to anyone visiting any of the Canary Islands.

We had a wonderful day with Guillermo. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Gran Canaria and we enjoyed his storytelling. Guillermo also modified the tour for us to accommodate our request to sit and relax, eating tapas, and watching the world go by. Guillermo was a true gem!!! By the end of the day it felt like we were family!! What a great tour!!! He even made a pit stop when we needed a pharmacy!! Your Las Palmas De Gran Canaria tour itinerary

From the port, we will take a private taxi to the Historical quarters: - Triana and Vegueta - Visit Vegueta including Canarian Museum and Casa de Colón Museum - Visit Triana - We will take a taxi back to the north of the city to reach Las Canteras beach and then I will bring back to the port.
