I think we hit the jackpot with Renée. This is my fifth Tours by Locals experience, and I don’t see how this day spent with Renee could’ve been improved upon. We got a good look at Rotterdam, The Hague, and Delft, and being with a guy whose fluency in English was dazzling and knowledge of all his subjects was encyclopedic made for a fascinating day. Rene grew up in The Hague and has spent the last 25 years in Delft; combined with an impressive depth of familiarity with his subject matter, this meant that we got an extremely good look at all three towns. We did so in comfort (a very well driven Lexus RX hybrid), and had a chance to see some amazing and historical water management sites, including those operating prior to the adoption of steam engines, where the water was lifted by three giant windmills, Holland-style. I would whole-heartedly recommend Rene!

Overview of your Rotterdam tour
Welcome to Rotterdam. Bombed away during world war 2 and rebuilt in striking modern architecture, Rotterdam is the biggest port of Europe. Just 8 miles away is 1000 year old Delft, where we will take a stroll along its small canals visit one of the huge churches(closed Sundays) and see the famous Delft Blue pottery. We will then drive on to "chic" and green The Hague, "city of piece and justice" and seat of the government. Here we will see the Royal Palace, the various International Courts of Justice. A guided tour in the Mauritshuis museum is included !!! ***Optional is a visit to the Panorama Mesdag*** As your private guide, I can adjust the schedule, duration of a visit or change the itinerary to your wishes. Rene was a wonderful tour guide! He met us at our hotel and took us to several sites including Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague. Rene is extremely knowledgeable in all of the sites and areas we visited. As our personal guide through museums, he passionately explained the works of art and their historical significance. He moved at our pace and was flexible, basing our itinerary on our interests. We highly recommend!
My husband and I had a fantastic day with Rene. He was everything and more that you would want from a tour guide. He was knowledgeable, entertaining, interesting, and accommodating.
