Either you let me pick a route or you do a little homework and give me upfront the sites or cities you like to visit. Remember…anticipatory pleasure already creates a lot of fun. I am born and raised in this country with a long ancestral history. Are you inquisitive and want to know all about the 'Dutch' and the Netherlands? Why we eat frikandellen, rookworst, kroketten, stroopwafels and a lot of cheese? How comes we are amongst the tallest people on earth, give three kisses, are outspoken, ride bicycles and wear wooden shoes? In this tour you'll get the answers whilst visiting the many highlights.
Amazing tour! Pieter was literally the best tour guide we've had. He was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. The whole tour was customized to our wants and needs. He worked with us to see the exact things that we wanted to see. We had the best day with him. I cannot say enough good things about Pieter and our tour and would not hesitate to recommend him.
Our group of 4 spent the day with Pieter touring Delft and Gouda and had a wonderful time. Pieter was extremely responsive in our planning messaging. We were able to see every site on our proposed itinerary and he was able to add a few bonus sites in Rotterdam. He is a pleasure to tour with and shared much about the history, as well as the cultural aspects, of the towns we visited, and the Netherlands in general. We had fun, laughed, and learned a lot! Highly recommended!
We had a great tour with Pieter. He picked us up at our hotel and took us to Keukenhoff. We were able to tour the gardens on our own and then he met us and took us on a walking tour of Delft. We loved asking him all sorts of questions about his country and enjoyed his humour. The walking tour of Delft showed us a lot of the historic area and we were able to visit several shops including a cheese shop and and old pharmacy. The architecture of the area was special and Pieter was able to explain all the history of the area. We asked Pieter for some recommendations for restaurants in Rotterdam for dinner and we loved the one we chose from his list. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day!
Pieter was fantastic! He took us to see everything on our list but we never felt rushed. He was both knowledgeable and very personable- a perfect host. I would highly recommend Pieter!
Pieter was an excellent and accommodating guide, especially since we were pressed for time and needed a whirlwind tour. He had a strong knowledge of the area and the sights we might want to see. He got us into two sites that were "closed" (after we had missed closing time by a few minutes), so that was a big plus. Great guide!
Pieter was exceptional with an amazing tour and a stop for lunch. We saw a lot of beautiful sites and the picture ( postcard beauty} with the wind mills. We saw so many places and we were very happy. Pieter was such a pleasure. So glad we booked his tour.
Pick-up by car from your cruise terminal, hotel, airport, or elsewhere in Rotterdam area. Zeeland or Belgium area pick-up no problem, ask me for quotation. Travelling will be comfortably by car from one city or highlight to another via picturesque and typical Dutch routes. Wherever you like to stop we'll continue our trip by foot (easy walks). There is time for everything, you decide, it is your tour…shopping, museum, pub or church, just tell me and I'll guide you to it. Basic tour is 6 hours, additional hour(s) a 85 euro, special wishes or needs, let me know. Everything is possible. We can go into the museums etc whatever you like, with additional costs.
