Malta and Gozo - both islands that have offered me a variety of wonderful experiences and magical moments that will remain forever embedded in my memory. You can all read about History but it takes a passionate local to make you 'feel' the place you are visiting. This is what I would like to convey to you as your private guide and, at the same time, impress you with the thousands of years of history on our 'rocks' (as we fondly refer to them) on your private tour. I was also President of the Malta Union of Tourist Guides while also serving on the Council for many years. I have travelled the world through out my life ( in part thanks to my Dad being a Diplomat) and still travel as its also my passion. I like to think that I will highly contribute to your visit on our islands enjoyable by making it a truly enjoyable Ex experience! Guiding gives me the opportunity to 'show off' our beautiful historical and artistic treasures which vie with some of the beautiful European Cities. I studied languages, history, art and History of Architecture . I am currently finishing off my thesis for a Master in Tourism and Culture. I like to take people off the beaten track and show them places to take wonderful pictures, show them that hidden vista. Let me make your Maltese experience a truly memorable one! I guide on both Malta and Gozo and I look forward to meeting you! I have been a fully licensed guide by the Malta Tourism Authority since 1995 and involved in Tourism for over 30 years. I have attended British and American International schools which has given me a vast educational perspective. I also attended University in the United States, was President of the Malta Union of Tourist Guides and Council member for several years. Currently working on my thesis for a Masters in Tourism and Culture If it shows I am unavailable for some particular date, do still contact me as sometimes I may be booked for only part of the day and I may still be able to guide you.

Malta played a pivotal role in the Second World War Mediterranean Theatre of Operations. Located between North Africa and Europe, it was the Allies' only outpost in the Central Mediterranean and proved to be 'A Thorn in the Axis Side'. It withstood over three years of aerial bombardment and suffered hunger, damage and death. Thankfully, these times are only a distant memory. But they are visible in museums and if you look closely enough, the scars can be seen on buildings till today.
We will drive out to Mdina and see the island spread out below us, and we will make out the strategic targets. Then we can drive down to Ta' Qali where a small part of the former RAF base houses the small Aviation Museum. Afterwards, we go to Valletta's National War Museum housed in the historic Fort St Elmo. There will be time for lunch if this taken as a full day tour followed by a visit in contemporary Valletta (extra cost) as this is quoted as a half day tour. Note: If your stay in Malta is a longer visit, then we can quote for a longer visit with more stops depending on your time factor.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will drive around the locations in an air conditioned car or minibus. There will also be some walking and also steps when we go to museums.
