I live in the historic area of the Three Cities, where the Knights of Malta first established their base when they arrived here in the 16th century. This was long before they crossed the Grand Harbour to build the iconic city of Valletta. The Three Cities, are rich in history and offer a fascinating glimpse into Malta’s past, with winding streets, ancient forts and a blend of cultures that have shaped the island over centuries. Educated in Malta, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for our heritage, culture, and traditions. This passion inspired me to become a tour guide, sharing the hidden stories, beautiful landmarks and unique experiences that make Malta such a captivating destination. 🔹 Mdina – The Silent City – Next, we step into Mdina, Malta’s medieval capital. Wandering through its winding alleys, we’ll admire grand palaces, Cathedral and panoramic views from the city walls. 🔹 Ħaġar Qim Temples - Our journey begins at the stunning Ħaġar Qim, a UNESCO-listed Neolithic temple complex dating back over 5,000 years. These ancient megalithic structures are among the oldest in the world. 🔹 Valletta – The Knights’ Capital – Our final stop is Valletta, the magnificent city founded by the Knights of St. John. We’ll walk through its elegant baroque streets, admire the imposing fortifications and visit historic squares. 🔹 St. John’s Co-Cathedral – A highlight of our Valletta visit is a visit to the Co-Cathedral, home to Caravaggio’s masterpiece, The Beheading of St. John the Baptist. With its gilded interiors and rich history. 🔹 Local Tastes - For lunch we will pause for a coffee, local beer or soft drink and taste Malta's street food the pastizzi.
