Greetings! I am Nigel, a native of Malta. I have been involved in the tourism industry for over 10 years where I have worked in the VIP transportation and logistics sector. Throughout the years, I've held roles both as an executive driver and also managerial positions. You may have heard that Malta is one of the most bombed places on earth. This tour tells the story of Malta's role during the Second World War that led to this infamous title. Being in the center of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta was always strategically important as a naval base during any conflict in the theatre. In this tour, we will explore the struggles faced by the brave local people and the Allied forces who defended the Maltese Islands. We'll also examine numerous exhibits from that period, showcased at Fort St Elmo's National War Museum. As a well-versed guide in military history, I'll lead you through the period with informative storytelling supported by the excellent exhibits on display at the fort. The tour will take us indoors and also outdoors.
Nigel was a fantastic guide. He possesses a wealth of knowledge about the area and the topics. He got to know us and knew just how much detail we wanted to hear (which was considerable) and how much walking and physical exertion we could tolerate (We were a group of senior citizens) I enthusiastically recommend him to anyone looking for an informative experience

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was very informative and visited sites that we might not have known about and Nigel was very knowledgeable about what happened to Malta during WWII. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in history!
