Thanks to reaching my profile page and Im glad to introduce myself to you. I am Dario, from the beatiful city of LOVE, VENICE, ITALY 🇮🇹, and I have traveled around Japan at least once a year from 2011 to 2016 when The fate decided that i had to meet my actual wife , who is Japanese, in Italy and I took the decision to move to Japan to be able to stay together with her in 2018 , after 1 year of relationship in Italy, and 1 year long distance relationship ( very long and far ). When I was living in Italy, I worked for 12 years as a sales man for different international companies in the air conditioning market , so I had the opportunity to travel around the world and meeting many people. I arrived in Japan in 2018 as a student of the japanese language. In the meanwhile I started studying the history of Hiroshima and in 2019 i decided to promoting myself as a tourist assistant, at the beginning for Hiroshima and Miyajima island, but after a while, all around the most famous spots in Japan. So far I guided single travellers, couples, families but also groups up to 40 persons. I will not be only your guide in Hiroshima, but I will be like a friend to you willing to share with you all of my knowledge about Hiroshima, Japan and its culture , and i can share with you all my experiences as a foreigner living in this country with its highs and lows. You will see me always with a smile on my face because I really love this job and you will see it through my passion. My mission also is to show you the beauty of Hiroshima and try to make you forget the sad side of this city. Visiting Japan for the first time was great for us, despite the 7.4 earthquake and a airliner catching on fire during our vacation. We had to switch our meeting point with our tour guide, Dario Degli Agostini, several times and he was always willing to meet us anywhere it worked best for us. Dario made our Hiroshima trip a delight and very educational. Thank you Dario for an awesome tour guide and your amazing personality. You made us feel at home and thank you for working with us and our schedule.
This is our 3rd tour by locals. Dario has taken it to the next level! Dario is Italian but his English and Japanese is superb. We met Dario and went straight to the peace dome and museum. Fantastic stories and explanations really helped us get the most from a busy museum. Then it was time for lunch. Wow. We went to an authentic Hiroshima Okonomyaki stall. The 80 year old patron obviously liked Dario and she explained her time in the post war Hiroshima with Dario translating. So lucky to experience this.
Dario was very knowledge about all the things we saw in Hiroshima. Very friendly and wonderful to learn from. He also recognized the seriousness of the history and was very respectful to the Japanese people. His Japanese is phenomenal and you can trust him to get you to where you want to go. He was also great at making recommendations for souvenirs at the local store!
Dario prepared a trip for our needs and was flexible when the situation changed dramatically. In addition, he took us to a restaurant where we were very well hosted. We were very pleased. It was very nice trip.
