Hi, I am Mie. I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter with deep knowledge of Japanese history, religions, and culture. Since I was born, raised, and finished college (majored in Japanese literature and history) in Hiroshima, I have a lot of stories as a local guide that you cannot read in any guidebooks. I love to guide you around my homeland and share ideas with you all. I love walking, traveling, climbing mountains, camping, and meeting people from all over the world. I have traveled around Japan climbing mountains for over 40 years and traveled to Canada, Switzerland, France, Spain, Nepal, Korea, Hong Kong, U. S, and so on mostly for climbing, trekking, and skiing. So if you want to travel both in cities or in nature, I will be your best guide. I have been enjoying being a guide. I am really happy and lucky to see and guide a lot of wonderful people from all over the world and it is my pleasure to share the time because I can learn a lot from my clients. I am looking forward to seeing you soon. National certified tour guide Interpreter. License No.EN00241 since 2011. Coordinator for Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) *The Travel Agency Act prohibits including travel costs (meals, transportation and admission fees) in guide-interpreting fees. *Insurance is not included.

Okayama Korakuen garden is one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan. created from 1687 to 1700. Since the garden keeps its original appearance from the Edo Period up to the present day, you can enjoy traditional Daimyo(feudal load) Garden all year round. Kurashiki also retains its traditional appearance in Edo Period. Especially in Bikan Historical Quarter, you can enjoy the atmosphere of the merchant city in 17th-18 century as well as industrial legacies in Meiji era. We visit those two cities in Okayama Prefecture to enjoy traditional Japan.

Mie is the reason you hire guides when traveling. She was very knowledgeable and quickly adapts to the tour environment. Originally we were going to go to the garden first, but she saw a large tour group heading there, so she had us switch gears and see other sites before going back to the garden. Having a guide who knows when to see sites is a huge benefit for those who want the most out of their tours.
Very good experience with an excellent guide, who made all the efforts to make our trip to Okayama enjoyable. Thank you Mie!
