Unforgettable Siena with Major Highlights

This tour guides you through the old, medieval city of Siena and its tradition, discovering the inside of San Domenico's Church with Saint Catherine's chapel, the Square of the oldest still operating bank in the world, Monte dei Paschi di Siena and one of the world's most breathtaking folk festivals, Il Palio. Looking at the outside of the "contrada" churches, horse stables and the little fountain you'll come to understand the fundamental role the long-standing Palio event plays in Sienese life and the sense of social belonging it creates. Equally essential stops are the unique Santa Maria Assunta Duomo, that I highly recommend to enter and Piazza del Campo, the arena where all the festivities take place on 2nd July and 16th August.
