Hello! My name is Stella, I was born in Siena Tuscany and spent most of my life in this gorgeous city where I live with my two kids. I am an official tour guide in Siena, the Chianti, San Gimignano and the Valdelsa, Montalcino, Pienza and the Valdorcia and Montepulciano and the Valdichiana in Italian, English and Spanish. I received my B. A. in humanities from the University of Siena with a Major in English and South American literatures mastering with great passion art and history and my MBA in tourism economics from Bocconi University in Milan. At the conclusion of my studies, I received a grant to study art and anthropology in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. I travelled in many different countries and enjoyed discovering their artworks, culture and social and political condition. I worked as journalist covering art, travels, cinema, theatre and politics. I was always interested in meeting people and exchange ideas and passions, so that welcoming and guiding guests being a tour guide in my hometown was a great opportunity for me. I've been guiding art and kids tours, wine and food tours in Siena, San Gimignano, the Chianti, Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano from the year 2000 and I'm enjoying my tours every day more! A gourmet tour where we will discover together Siena art and history using all our senses, ready to enjoy tastes, flavours, colours, sounds and bringing back home a very old and precious experience. We will taste the best tuscan wines such as the Brunello di Montalcino and the Chianti Classico. We will sample sienese cookies and cakes together with a good glass of Vinsanto , our dessert wine after having samples at lunch or dinnerr in one of my favourite osteria. If you wish we will also join a cooking class of medieval or traditional tuscan cuisine.

Stella is AMAZING. She is wealth of local knowledge and next time I will book a longer tour, She showed us some real "insider gems" so we felt like we got a glimpse into life in Siena. If you love food and art - Stella is your tour guide just be sure to book her in advance!

Stella was wonderful. She not only introduced us to Nannina and their wonderful cakes and coffees, but also to a lovely store that displays wonderful Italian meats and cheeses. She topped off the tour by introducing us to Federico at Cantina del Brunello for some tastings of lovely Tuscan wines. She added so much to our tour with her knowledge of the history of Siena and Italy. It was so easy to communicate with her - her English is near perfect!
Delightful company. Aware of her guests, their interest, engagement and abilities. Like a good square dance caller she kept a rhythm to the group keeping all engaged and in harmony. Wonderful!
we will meet at the Basilica San Domenico an then visit the church with the history of Saint Catherine (important the legend of the blessed bread). we will stop for the first wine tasting in one of the most prestigeous Enoteca where we will also visit an etruscan tumb, and then we will reach one of the special osteria for the tasting of cheeses like pecorino and cold cuts and meat like prosciutto and finocchiona. at the end of the tour we will visit one of the famous Siena backery for the tasting of Ricciarelli and Panforte and more. . . and we will be ready then for a magnificient gelato! during the tour we won't miss the Cathedral and Piazza del Campo where the Palio horse race is run!!!! we will enjoy a coffe espresso in the caffetteria that I like the most. . . .
