Hello! My name is Stella, I was born in Siena Tuscany and spent most of my life in this gorgeous city where I live with my two kids. I am an official tour guide in Siena, the Chianti, San Gimignano and the Valdelsa, Montalcino, Pienza and the Valdorcia and Montepulciano and the Valdichiana in Italian, English and Spanish. I received my B. A. in humanities from the University of Siena with a Major in English and South American literatures mastering with great passion art and history and my MBA in tourism economics from Bocconi University in Milan. At the conclusion of my studies, I received a grant to study art and anthropology in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. I travelled in many different countries and enjoyed discovering their artworks, culture and social and political condition. I worked as journalist covering art, travels, cinema, theatre and politics. I was always interested in meeting people and exchange ideas and passions, so that welcoming and guiding guests being a tour guide in my hometown was a great opportunity for me. I've been guiding art and kids tours, wine and food tours in Siena, San Gimignano, the Chianti, Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano from the year 2000 and I'm enjoying my tours every day more! This is a classic siena tour where you will learn about the lives, the stories and legends of saints, poets, damsels, popes, noble families, bankers, the rich and the poor. Classic Siena half day tour. We were lucky enough to do this tour during the Palio. Having seen the events and heard the celebrating teams, we had many questions. Stella answered them all and many more. She gave an incredible review of the history of Siena and Italy. We are very happy to have spent the half day with her.

Stella is THE BEST! She is so charming and intelligent andvivacious. This is our 3rd trip with her and she always makes it personal and informative and inspiring. I was a student in Siena in 1987 and return almos every year. But Stella always makes Siena new again with more details, history and anecdotes. Whether you are going to Siena for a day or a week, I highly recommend hiring Stella to show you around. On our last trip we were in a big group of 10 people and it was the anniversary of the death of my friend's daughter. Stella planned a special moment of prayer at San Domenico that we will never forget!!!!
We will meet at the basilica San Domenico where we will introduce the history and tradition of the town where I was born. The fist historic character will be Saint Catherine of Siena and her spirituality in a church where frescoes and stunning medieval tempera altarpiece are still the original. Then we will walk through the medieval streets of the districts of Siena revealing art and beauty around every corner. We will taste the ricciarelli and panforte special Siena cakes and if you wish we can also enjoy a wine tasting. Siena Cathedral will be in our walk and the civic museum where the medieval republic of Siena commissioned the gorgeous good and bad government frescoes to Ambrogio Lorenzetti. Siena was really the competitor of Florence along the Roman pilgrims way and her merchant families and popes invited to work in Sirna Michelangelo Donatello and Bernini to name just a few. . . .
