Hello! My name is Stella, I was born in Siena Tuscany and spent most of my life in this gorgeous city where I live with my two kids. I am an official tour guide in Siena, the Chianti, San Gimignano and the Valdelsa, Montalcino, Pienza and the Valdorcia and Montepulciano and the Valdichiana in Italian, English and Spanish. I received my B. A. in humanities from the University of Siena with a Major in English and South American literatures mastering with great passion art and history and my MBA in tourism economics from Bocconi University in Milan. At the conclusion of my studies, I received a grant to study art and anthropology in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. I travelled in many different countries and enjoyed discovering their artworks, culture and social and political condition. I worked as journalist covering art, travels, cinema, theatre and politics. I was always interested in meeting people and exchange ideas and passions, so that welcoming and guiding guests being a tour guide in my hometown was a great opportunity for me. I've been guiding art and kids tours, wine and food tours in Siena, San Gimignano, the Chianti, Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano from the year 2000 and I'm enjoying my tours every day more! I am a mother of two kids and I know very well which are the interests and curiosities of young children and teenagers and when they need to stop and relax. Siena and its region offers many opportunities for the younger and their families. This is a tour that involves children parents and grandparents alike. We will look for the colours of Siena in art and nature, the animals symbols that appear everywhere in town, the sounds that will cuddle us, the perfumes from our restaurants and shop, visiting museums and walking through the medieval streets of the Wards of the Palio Horse Race, climbing towers, following the steps of James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, resting in front of the medieval artworks and modern paintings. All of a sudden we will be in a huge medieval garden where we can enjoy tuscan food prepared with organic vegetables and herbs. Unforgettable!
We really enjoyed our tour with Stella and she did a great job teaching us about Siena. She kept our girls (5 and 7) engaged and entertained throughout the tour. It was clear that she had a ton of local knowledge and it was fun to see some of the behind the scenes elements of the city. I would highly recommend this tour with Stella.
Stella is an amazing guide. She was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She is great with kids. She made the tour so fun for them while also making it fun and interesting for the adults. She was also very flexible and accommodating given we were a group of 10 people including 4 kids of different ages. I highly recommend this tour!

Stella was great with our group. We had 4 kids with us and she really geared the tour to them and kept them engaged the whole time by giving them things to look for while also teaching the adults interesting things about Siena and the history of the horse races. Great tour for both age groups. We also needed transportation and she helped arrange that and it was very much appreciated.
It was a wonderful tour: different from other tours we had because Stella was so flexible with our needs and it was a very relaxed tour. We learned about and saw things that we would not have on our own: hoe gelato is made, an Etruscan tomb in a wine shop etc. Thank you Stella! Kim Davidman
5/5. Stella was terrific. She was terrific with the kids- we all learned and enjoyed the history and her insights about Sienna. Excellent!
We will meet at the Basilica San Domenico and everyone will be given a special card with the 17 symbols we will look for in Siena. There will be 5 steps from the basilica to the cathedral, from an Etruscan tumb to the medieval hospital where we will probably be able to reach the old bones of the cemetery to the fountains and underground cunicules where the waterways are. . . . and much more. An artist will reveal the secrets of his Bottega workshop and we will prepare our drawings in the special workbook that will be the gift to our lady of Siena. . . Join the treasure hunt we will be all richer at the end and we will for sure deserve a nice big gelato!!!
