Hi! My name is Giulia, I was born in Siena some years ago and more or less I've always been living here. As a very young woman, at 20 years old, I became mother for the first time, and after three years I had my second son. You can imagine that I had to live a double life: as a mother and wife, and as an Art History University student (so. . . triple?). After a while, I started to work as a licensed tour leader and receptionist too; in my lifetime I traveled a lot, I met thousands of people from all over the world, and now I put all my experience and knowledge in my job: guiding you to discover the beauty of my homeland. It's truly an honour for me to show how many masterpieces we have, and how many of them are nearly unknown! During the lockdowns I increased my skills studying Florence, Arezzo and Grosseto territories as well, and I became an hiking guide too: I'd love to hike with you along our long white roads, enjoying the so different kinds of countryside we can experience: Chianti, Valdorcia, Clay Hills, Valdichiana, everyone with its particular beauty, flora and fauna, and perfectly integrated hamlets and abbeys. You can ask me everything about the most important towns, churches, monuments spread all over my territory, and I'll be glad to offer you an informative and amazing tour, but, if you prefer, you can ask me to go off the beaten paths, and you'll be astonished by the richness and complexity of this country. . . In any case, you'll fall in love as well! Being baptyzed in the Shell Contrada, I'm so thrilled when I can explain how deeply tied we are to our Palio (horse race) tradition and what a long preparation is needed for this 1minute 20seconds long race, and that is not a fake touristic attraction. I really appreciate to finish my job in front of a glass of good wine, tasting some of our delicious homemade products, because I think these are all part of our culture: my real aim is to create special tours in which you can experience both art and nature, both craftsmanship and food, both wine and fun. So, if you think we have something in common, contact me for further info or check my availability. Let's see in Siena soon! B. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Everybody knows that Siena is magnificent, a pearl of Gothic, and a World Unesco Heritage from 1995. But pay attention, it's not a museum! What you can see all around you (Medieval buildings, gilded altarpieces) is lively and in some craftsman shops you can still breath the ancient art of homemade paintings. So, in about two hours long walking tour we'll touch the key-points of the town and discover everything about her art, tradition, architecture, history. A true local guide would be the perfect introducer to a world so distant and different in time and space but still so fascinating. That's why it's so important not to waste your time wandering without any clue of what you're looking at: you'll discover that 1 hour with me is more informative than 4 hours reading over your trip guide! Plus you'll have an one-hour long workshop with a master creating your own gilded magnet: something you wouldn't forget!
Our walk will start from the external city gates and walls, then we will enter the Medieval city discovering the main monuments, such as: - the Cathedral, with its stunning facade - the Public Palace, symbol of the Republic of Siena - the Santa Maria della Scala hospital, the most ancient hospital in Europe We will enjoy all these must-to-see in external, saving some time for an in-depth visit to a Sienese church to admire one of the stunning wooden altarpieces Medieval artists realized for the family chapels inside: this would be the better way to introduce you to your workshop experience. As a matter of fact, we will stop in a craftsman shop for a customized dimonstrative workshop about Medieval art and painting tecnique on wooden tablets, the same Sienese artists used to realize the beautiful altarpieces I would have already shown you in our journey through Siena: you'll have a full-immersive experience with me, both theorical and practical!
