Hi! My name is Giulia, I was born in Siena some years ago and more or less I've always been living here. As a very young woman, at 20 years old, I became mother for the first time, and after three years I had my second son. You can imagine that I had to live a double life: as a mother and wife, and as an Art History University student (so. . . triple?). After a while, I started to work as a licensed tour leader and receptionist too; in my lifetime I traveled a lot, I met thousands of people from all over the world, and now I put all my experience and knowledge in my job: guiding you to discover the beauty of my homeland. It's truly an honour for me to show how many masterpieces we have, and how many of them are nearly unknown! During the lockdowns I increased my skills studying Florence, Arezzo and Grosseto territories as well, and I became an hiking guide too: I'd love to hike with you along our long white roads, enjoying the so different kinds of countryside we can experience: Chianti, Valdorcia, Clay Hills, Valdichiana, everyone with its particular beauty, flora and fauna, and perfectly integrated hamlets and abbeys. You can ask me everything about the most important towns, churches, monuments spread all over my territory, and I'll be glad to offer you an informative and amazing tour, but, if you prefer, you can ask me to go off the beaten paths, and you'll be astonished by the richness and complexity of this country. . . In any case, you'll fall in love as well! Being baptyzed in the Shell Contrada, I'm so thrilled when I can explain how deeply tied we are to our Palio (horse race) tradition and what a long preparation is needed for this 1minute 20seconds long race, and that is not a fake touristic attraction. I really appreciate to finish my job in front of a glass of good wine, tasting some of our delicious homemade products, because I think these are all part of our culture: my real aim is to create special tours in which you can experience both art and nature, both craftsmanship and food, both wine and fun. So, if you think we have something in common, contact me for further info or check my availability. Let's see in Siena soon! B. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

The tour is a perfect blend of nature, art and culinary tradition. Ww will start from the Basilica of Osservanza, a Renaissance church founded by the Franciscan preacher St. Bernardine a few chilometres from Siena. The church and the museum have a fascinating history and are rich in masterpieces; after a brief visit we will start walking entering in the Chianti territory by a white road. Vineyards, olive trees, woods will surround us with their extraordinary colors and a lively ecosystem which guarantees the high quality of the wines. Finally we will enter a private estate till we arrive to the owner's villa and wine cellar, where a stop is mandatory: a Medieval tower, an old farmers'village, amazing oranic wines are waiting for us. There will be the time for a fascinating tour and a exaustive explanation about the production of Chianti wine and supertasty Sienese olive oil. Then we'll go back to Osservanza Church by the same road
Here are some basical info: Distance: about 6 km Difference in height: about 250 mt Difficulty: T (easy) You need to be properly equipped: water (at least 1lt each person), some snack, hat, trekking or walking shoes, appropriate outfit. The trekking is available in almost every weather condition, but we'll decide together the perfect timing for the season. I'll be glad to answer to any further question. The start is from the parking in front of the building, we will begin the tour visiting of the Osservanza church. We'll have a brief walk on a paved road and then a trekking along the Chianti hills on white road and paths. Arriving at the private estate, visit of the villa, tower and wine cellar. Degustation of local cheeses, olive oil and Chianti wine, all homemade products. Feel free to contact me in case you need to do any variation of the tour, or if you have allergies or intolerances. If needed, I can also arrange a taxi transfert from the wine cellar to the meeting point in order to shorten the trekking
