Overview of your Naples tour
This intense full-day tour will give you the opportunity to deeply discover the natural and historical environment of our region, getting to the very top of Vesuvius and then witnessing the effects of its massive eruption in Pompeii. Together we'll hike –at your own pace– along the volcanic crest, on lava rocks, up to the very top of the crater and around it. Considering this, I suggest bringing a bottle of water and wearing comfortable shoes. We'll admire the diverse natural surroundings, the stunning view of the gulf of Naples, and get a scent of its sulphuric air. We'll also explore Pompeii's archaeological area, the once wealthy lively town which was suddenly buried underneath the ashes of Vesuvius's 79 AD eruption. Get ready for a full immersion into Roman lifestyle, meeting the locals, visiting some local stores & restaurants and taking in the most luxurious mansions of local aristocracy. If you wish, I could even take you to visit the infamous Den of Vice!
Your Naples tour itinerary
-The tour will begin with a pickup from Naples, after which we'll drive to the entrance of Vesuvius National Park. -On arrival, we'll start out on a hike to the top of the crater. -As we go on, we'll be able to take breaks at your call, and take pictures of our surroundings from where we stand! -After reaching the top, we'll make our way back to the gate. -Next, we'll drive to Pompeii and make a break for lunch before continuing any further. -Once we get there, I'll take you on a guided tour of Pompeii, where we'll stroll around its theatres, thermal baths, wellness centre and The Forum. -At last, our final destination will be our first one, where you were picked up from. The itinerary can be customized according to your needs and requests. Note: The Vesuvius walk will be conducted by a local specialist guide
