An immersive walk through the historic heart of Naples, from vibrant streets to the hidden underground city
Overview of your Naples tour
This walking tour offers the opportunity to visit the best parts of Naples with a guide that lives in this wonderful city. We will start in the Historic Center, the most ancient part of the city, in particular in the Cathedral, the most important church of the city. Then we will stroll through its larger streets, “Via dei Tribunali” and the so-called “Spaccanapoli”, that literally means “splits Naples”, and through its lanes, for example “via San Gregorio Armeno”, the famous “street of the cribs”, where many artisans work. We will visit also part of the underground Naples in the “Lapis Museum”, where you can see some tanks of the ancient aqueduct of the city and the remains of the air-raid shelters used by the population during the bombings of World War II. During the tour I will show you also the “Pignasecca” with its market full of temporary stalls and permanent food shops, for example fisheries and bakeries, and finally the “Spanish Quarters”, with its typical lanes and works of street art.
