Vesuvius with its enormous destroying power took everything: houses, monuments and thousands lives. This tragedy was one of worst of the ancient times. These cities were forgotten from history because the Vesuvius eruption buried them. That's why their ruins exist today. It is extremely fascinating to visit them. You have an incredible occasion to live an unforgettable experience in the ancient Roman dimension. You can see where the Romans ate, slept, loved, prayed, and died. You can do that in two similar but different cities for their characteristics and conservation state.

Dario is a fantastic guide. He knows his stuff and you can tell he loves to share his knowledge with others. This was a fantastic, fun and entertaining way to see Pompeii and Herculaneum, and it is such a better way to see these sites than an audioguide or large group tour. You learn so much more and get the perspective from someone local to the area. I wish we could have spent more time exploring, but there is only so much time in the day.

Your Naples tour itinerary
The tour starts in Naples where you meet the guide and drive with private transportation and driver as far as the archaeological park of Pompeii. The visit stats at the thermal bath where the romans relaxed and washed. Then you walk on the ancient streets where they lived their daily life, and you see many shops. You visit a noble house finely decorated with frescos which colours are incredible. Then you reach the theatre's area where you visit the biggest theatre of the city. Finally, you arrive at the city centre where among columns and temples you enjoy an amazing Vesuvius view. After the visit you stop for a break. The tour continues driving as far as the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum. Visiting the beautiful Herculaneum you see the elegance of this city. There you see some rich houses and their mosaics and paintings will fascinate you. You will see the differences between the two cities. At the end you visit a sporting centre where the romans relaxed a trained. After the visit you return to Naples.
