We wanted to explore the Almalfi Coast and looked into our options. After much research we decided to maximize the amount of actual time we had to explore, so we chose to take the fast train to Naples and hire a private driver. We chose to go with Mario and we are grateful we did. He is 100 percent a true professional. He sent a message prior to our train to naples, where he would be waiting at the Naples train station. We quickly found him and off we went for a 9 hour day of exploring. Mario communicated weeks prior to assess what was our priority— and he fulfilled all of our expectations. Mario explained sites and history along the drive, which was interesting. We went to 4 towns along the coast and had a bit of time to shop. He also made sure we stopped often and pointed out where to get drinks, food or the toilet. Such a fun day!

Your Naples tour itinerary
We will meet in Naples in the morning and drive to Amalfi. Here, you will have 1 hour of free time to walk on your own to explore the ancient "Marine Republic" (or Republic of the Sea) with its port and historical center and visit the 11th-century Cathedral of Saint Andrew (Amalfitano saint patron) with unique gold and bright decorations. After Amalfi, we will drive on the excellent coastline sightseeing road to reach Positano. Along the way, we can stop to take breathtaking pictures or visit a traditional ceramic factory if requested. Once in Positano, you will have free time to explore the beautiful atmosphere of this ancient, colorful "vertical" village, made famous by VIPs from the 1960s to today. After Positano, we will go to Sorrento, the "Land of the Limoncello". This city has lemon groves and cliffs that meet the sea. Take a walk through its history, whispering through cobblestone streets with affordable shopping. Drive back to Naples.
