Pompeii Private Tour with a Local Guide & Transportation

Wow, Pompeii with Ilaria exceeded all my expectations. Pompeii is obviously a marvel to explore, and having an incredibly personable and knowledgeable tour guide in Ilaria took it over the top. She was fun to talk with and learn from and was able to adjust when my mother-in-law had some issues with the stone streets. We had 3 generations of family that all enjoyed our experience with her. I would highly, highly recommend her to anyone for a tour of Pompeii or other sites in the area!!

We really enjoyed our tour of Pompeii with Ilaria. We booked a 2-hour tour but the time went quickly and we could have gone longer. She was clear, articulate, and very informative. We highly recommend Ilaria to anyone who is considering a tour of Pompeii or Herculaneum.

I have wanted to see Pompeii since childhood, and it did not disappoint. The tragic beauty and history of the site was only made better by our guide Ilaria. With a degree in art history, and an obvious love for the area and its past, she enriched this already rich experience with her facts and tales of ancient Pompeiians and the day to day world of their lives. The site is quite large, and Ilaria made certain we saw all the best of Pompeii. She also arranged (for an extra charge of course) to customizecf I our tour by having a private driver pick us up by the cruise terminal, and recommended a local pizzeria for lunch upon our return. Yum! I highly recommend Ialria. She is charming, friendly, and oh so knowledgeable!

Ilaria was fantastic! She is very knowledgeable about Pompeii and Italy in general. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with her. We only had a couple hours in Pompeii but she made the most of our time and focused on highlights of such an enormous place in Italy. We highly recommend her for any tour you may be interested in!

Ilaria gave us a fantastic 2 hour tour of Pompeii. I couldn't rate her highly enough, she was great on all facets: knowledgable, friendly, great english, responsive.

We were delighted with Ilaria and her skill in bringing Pompeii to life for us. It was quickly apparent she has a deep knowledge, enthusiasm and understanding of the city and it's past inhabitants. She took us through most of the major buildings and pointed out interesting detail. Ilaria dealt with our many questions with ease and gave us choices about what we wanted to see. As well as understanding the historical significance of the site we also left feeling the terrible impact of the disaster. Superb.
