Herculaneum is the pearl of antiquity, a place loved by Roman patricians for its great position overlooking the bay of Naples. Destroyed and preserved cause the eruption of 79 AD under a blanket of ash, lapilli, and mud. The archaeological site of Herculaneum is smaller than Pompeii, but in addition to the ruins, it offers the possibility to visit a small museum, the temporary exhibition "SplendOri" "luxury in Herculaneum ornaments". A great opportunity to admire the precious findings, personal and everyday items that occurred in the archaeological area.
