Hello everyone, my name is Alessandra and I am a professional and authorized tour guide of Campania Region. I was born and live in Naples, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy. I've always been very keen of art and history and that is why I studied archaeology at the university both in Naples and Rome. After graduating and obtaining a postgraduate degree, in 2012 I decided to get the tourist guide license also to show how my land is wonderful and full of art masterpieces and interesting sites. Moved by a great passion for my job, I like to organize guided tours to introduce all lovers of art and history the most enchanting places of my region (for example Naples, Pompeii, Herculaneum), according to their personal preferences and needs. Discovering Naples, the homeland of good food
Overview of your Naples tour
Walking along the streets of the Historic Center, you will see not only the most important monuments of the city but also the great variety of the local cuisine. We will start in one of the main squares of Naples, piazza Dante, and first of all, I will show you where you can taste the coffee "espresso". Then you will stroll through one of the main streets of the Old City, "Via dei Tribunali", enjoying the typical pastries, for example, "Sfogliatella" and "Babà". In the heart of the city, the road "Spaccanapoli", which means "split Naples", you will try also some savory specialties, for instance, the "Tarallo" (rounded salty biscuit), the so-called "cuoppo" (a paper cone full of fried delicacies) or the "Pizza a portafoglio". Continuing to walk we will get to the "Pignasecca" market, full of temporary stalls and permanent food shops, for example, grocery stores, butcheries, fisheries, and bakeries. In a typical delicatessen, you will taste mozzarella cheese and local salami with a good glass of wine.
