Naples Private Walking Tour

Let me show the splendors and tell you about the past and the present of Naples through the eyes of a local. During our walking tour, I will introduce you not only to the historical ups and downs of this city , but also to Art and Architecture, to curious moments and legends, to the life of the Neapolitans, their customs, traditions, and habits. We will explore two large areas of Naples: The Royal City and the Old City. We will cross picturesque streets and monumental squares; we will enter spectacular palaces and visit unique churches which reveal the incredible artistic and historical heritage of the City. I am flexible and I can modify the tour according to your needs.

The tour starts with the exploration of the "Royal Naples". It corresponds to the city center. We will see: - The Royal Palace (outside)and Plebiscito Square - The New Castle called "Maschio Angioino"(outside) - St. Charles Opera House (outside) - Umberto I Gallery After that we walk through the famous Spanish Quarter to reach the "Old Naples". The core of the Old Town is "Spaccanapoli" road. We will visit: - The New Jesus Church and St. Claire Church - Saint Gregory Street flanked by workshops where the local artists manufacture the famous Nativities/Crèches. - Finally, we will make our way to the Cathedral of Naples housing Saint Gennaro's Chapel. It guards the blood of the Saint which liquefies three times a year to protect the city - We can add the visit of the famous Sansevero Chapel showing the incredible marble statue known as " The Veiled Christ".
