Hi, I'm Ilaria, an official Local tourist Guide licensed in Campania Region. I've studied Art and Languages to pursue my true passion: to be in contact with other cultures and backgrounds and to communicate to others my love for my country. I've been working as tour leader for 15 years developing strong relationships with my clients and my purpose is to provide a high quality service for travelers who want to melt culture, art and fun! My greatest strength as a tourist guide? I'm enthusiastic and I clearly love my hometown: I live in Naples and I have always been passionate and proud of its millenia of history. My idea of guided tour goes beyond the usual tourist route: I think that the best way to explore a new destination is to experience the culture and lifestyle, delving into the history, the customs and the amenities of a country to gain a more intimate perspective of the area. So let's go together to discover Campania region. Look forward to meeting you Official licensed Tour Guide of Campania Region. Bachelor Degree in Modern Greek and English language. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

This tour is based on Neapolitan cuisine. Traditional Neapolitan cooking is very rich and has a variety of dishes for every taste. For international travelers the street food is a must for an authentic local experience: I'll surprise you with the visit to secret corners of Naples rich in traditions and folklore. I was born and raised in Naples and my goal during this tour is to show you that the soul of a city can be found also in the food and the way to cook it. Walking along the crowded and cheerful Toledo street I will tell you about the Neapolitan lifestyle, legends, old traditions, and the history of our food. If you come on Sunday walking around with me is not unusual to smell the Ragù cooked in the Neapolitan kitchens!
• This private tour starts with the visit of the vibrant Monumental area of Naples and with the tasting of a typically strong and creamy coffee at the Gambrinus Bar, the historical coffeehouse. • You'll see the colorful pastries shops where you will taste the babà rum, a light, golden, brioche-like sweet bread that is soaked in rum syrup or a traditional sfogliatella, a shell-shaped pastry. Sfogliatella means small, thin leaf/layer, as the pastry's texture resembles stacked leaves. • After this first approach to the Neapolitan specialties you'll reach the historical center of the city, the beating heart of Naples where you'll taste the best pizza ever had. The traditional local Pizzerias are provided with wood-burning brick oven plans that make the pizza unique. Furthermore, you'll see how pizza makers prepare the famous disc to stuff with mozzarella cheese. If you have other preferences, I will customize the tour for you.
