Discover the Flavors of Naples on a Private Food & Walking Tour

The tour takes place in the Historic Center of Naples, where we explore vibrant local markets with traditional butchers, fruit and fish vendors, and authentic mozzarella shops. While tasting local delicacies with deep cultural significance, I will share the history behind the food and the stories of these ancient neighbourhoods. The experience includes six to seven stops featuring a variety of traditional Neapolitan specialties. We walk along Spaccanapoli (“Split City”), one of the most iconic streets, where bakeries and wine shops offer typical snacks such as Tarallo, paired with local wine. We continue to Piazza del Gesù and Piazza San Domenico, home to historic churches and renowned pastry shops where you can taste Sfogliatella, Babà, gelato, and authentic Neapolitan espresso highly recommended. The experience ends with a final drink in one of the city’s most beautiful historic squares, celebrating Naples through its food, culture, and atmosphere.

I will be happy to suggest the best foodie options for you! You'll stroll through the flavours and colours of the market district of Pignasecca. You will also enjoy the ancient city and smelling delicious foods you will admire some of the most important monuments, historical building and churches. You will visit an old bakery, a fruit shop with local fresh fruits and vegetables, you be able to taste Neapolitan "taralli" (salty rounded biscuits), or the local fried foods in typical Neapolitan "cuoppo" (paper cone). Don't miss, of course, the original "Pizza al portafoglio". Furthermore, you can buy mozzarella cheese or "provolone" and "salame" in the same place where the locals buy them.
