Hello & Aadaab ! 'Aadaab' is Lucknow's very own salutation to greet someone. 'Aadaab' is a plural form of the Persian word 'Adab' literally means 'respect to all forms'. This secular term of greeting was introduced by the Last Nawab of Awadh (Oudh) - Nawab Wajid Ali Shah. My name is Ravi, born and brought up in a nearby place to Lucknow and now for many years residing in Lucknow. I grew up with an immense love and interest for travel and history. My interest in Travel later lead me to pursue a career in this field. As a result of it I have completed my graduation programme in Tourism & Travel. Along with all that I had also got a golden opportunity to work with an Inbound Tour Company in the year 2012. Since then I have been involved in many assignments and completed them quite successfully under various capacity. Most of the time this was the role of full time Monument-Story Teller but yes I also enjoyed the role of a Tour Leader, Language Interpreter and Tour Product Researcher and developer. During these years, I was much honoured to show our city to many visitors including few renowned people across the globe, authors and travel bloggers and have found mention in few articles (online/off-line) on national and international level. In all these years I have also developed my keen interest in Photography, specially Food Photography, Architecture, Life-Style, Religious Mythology, Indian History and Podcast. Flourished in late of 18th century under the patronage of Nawabs & better known for its etiquette and mannerism across the globe, earlier the capital for the province of Awadh(Oudh), Lucknow has been known for its sophisticated language & culture. The city where a very specific way of salutation 'Aadaab' & language of 'Aap Janab' & 'Pahley Aap - After You' still prevails. Apart from all this cultural legacy, the city is well known for various architectural beauties (for that we have this very specific tour) & lip-smacking food like - Kebabs & Biryani. A visit to this city will definitely put anyone in wonder. We will visit Asafi Imambada Complex, Turkish Gate, Clock Tower, Satkhanda, Hussainabad Imambada, Picture Gallery, Lucknow Residency & La-Martiniere during this full day tour. 1. Asafi Imambada Complex which includes Asafi Mosque#, Asafi Imambada, Labyrinth & a step-well (2 Hrs) 2. Drive through Turkish Gate or Rumi Darwaza (10 Mins) 3. Hussainabad Imambada or Chota Imambada (20 Mins) 4. Now drive past Clock Tower & Satkhanda-copy of leaning tower of Pisa (15 Mins) 5. Picture Gallery (20 Mins) 6. Washermen ghats to understand traditional manual washing specially done for Chikan Embroidery cloths (20 Mins) 7. Lunch Break^ (1 Hr) 8. Lucknow Residency* (1 Hr) 9. La Martiniere (1 Hr) #Outside View Only *Museum inside Residency remains closed on every FRIDAY while rest part remains open. ^Lunch is on own charges. This is the an average time taken by a visitor visiting theses places. **IMP** Please be informed that sometime there is an UNEXPECTED CLOSING for one or both Imambadas for visitors on that day only, in that case this tour will be compensated with the visit of other monuments in the city itself.
