For those with a dream to visit the most beautiful building of India, the Taj Mahal. Start the day with an unforgettable visit to the Taj Mahal over sunrise, and experience the changing colours of this white marble mausoleum. After spending plenty of time appreciating its heavenly beauty, return to your hotel for breakfast and brief rest. Next, head to the magnificent Agra Fort. This 16th century fort-palace was the residence of the emperor who built the Taj Mahal and served as his prison towards the end of his life! Finally, end your day with a sunset visit to the Taj Mahal: you can chose to visit it from the other side of the river, Mehtab Bagh Garden (recommended), or inside the complex!
Mona made our time in Agra extra special. He is the perfect guide, knowledgeable, passionate and super friendly. He didn't overwhelm us with names/dates etc but explained the meaning and context behind what we were seeing. He took us to a really great place for lunch which was the best meal of our trip! We plan to call on Mona again when we schedule our trip to Delhi.
Wow, what a day we had yesterday. Mona arrived promptly at 6.30 for our visit to the Taj Mahal. Although quite foggy it was surprisingly quiet. We followed this with a viewing at an exceptional gallery/jewellers and hand knotted carpet producer. Included in the day's itinerary was a tour of Agra Fort. During the whole day, Mona provided us with extensive knowledge and took really good photographs with our cameras as memories of the day for us. We can truly say Mona is an excellent and very friendly guide
Mona was outstanding! We would have rated it at 10 if that had been possible. Not only is he an expert historian, story teller, and outstanding picture taker, he was exceptionally accommodating for two older travelers, one of whom needed wheelchair service at many attractions. The traveling vehicle was very nice and the driver very helpful. Mona was very adaptive in doing exactly what the travelers wanted, and allowed as much time at the attractions as desired. This really couldn't have been any better.
Madhavendra is by far the best tour guide I have ever had. He is (among other many things): - Knowledgeable - Charismatic - Patient - Resourceful - Open to Feedback I would recommend for the young. The adults, the families, the standalone travelers. Everyone who visits the Taj Mahal and any other sites in India should contact him to see their travels improve. 10/10
Following a successful tour of Delhi with Mona we met him at Agra for a tour of the Taj, Fort and local craftsmen. What a great day - from making things smooth for us, getting us into the sites quickly, ensuring we had a lovely a/c car and water, giving us a fantastic history and insight into the monuments and taking us for a tasty lunch, I really couldn't fault the day. Thanks so much Mona - it was a hot and busy day but you made it very special and met our every need.
