The Сonnecting Seam of Berlin: A Walking Tour

Berlin Wall is, perhaps, one of the most dramatic pages in the history of the 20th century. But today, only concrete sections are preserved in some places and a brick line on the sidewalks remains. We will see together how these two such different parts of the city, separated by a dead zone and developing independently of each other were joined, how such different historical layers of the city get along together: buildings of the 18th century, watchtowers of the GDR and contemporary architecture. During this tour I will not only point the sights and tell the dates but we will talk about the structure of Berlin, how those decisions that shape the whole center nowadays were made and what principles guided the architects when creating that new center of Berlin, which today attracts millions of tourists. You will see that Berlin is not a scattered city, how it's often described, but on its patches and corners it carefully preserves the traces of the past integrating in modern life!
