Welcome, My name is Eran, a passionate lover of Berlin and a permanent resident of the city. Love brought me to Berlin in 2006, love kept me here, and now I am able to show you my favorite city from the eyes of a local with a vast perspective of the world. I was Born in Israel and already lived half of my life elsewhere - seven years in the USA (Boston, Los Angeles, Tucson), one year in India and 19 years in Berlin - where I settled down with my family and my passion for history. Since 2017 I have been working as a tour guide in Berlin and its surroundings, always glad to show the main attractions and hidden gems of this city and tell its story, for better or worse. Born to a post-WWII refugee and a grandson of holocaust survivors, I was growing up with knowledge about the dark side of Germany’s history. After settling down in Berlin I discovered the beauty of the city and the changes it has experienced to become the exciting, inclusive and accepting place it is today, and it will be my pleasure to show you all those sides on your visit. Together we can: - visit the historical sites along the story of Berlin through its ancient and modern times; - focus on specific areas of its contemporary history - follow the rise and the fall of the third Reich and view the cold war era that split the city into two with the berlin wall in between; - explore jewish life in the city and the development of its community through its highest peaks and lower depths; - visit Potsdam, the summer home of the former royal family for generations with its marvelous collection of parks and palaces. I am fluent in English and Hebrew. I speak German at a high level and can lightly communicate in Greek and Esperanto. I am a certified member of the Berlin guides association. See you soon!

Since the end of WWII the city of Berlin has changed dramatically - From a symbol of oppression and atrocity to a beacon of acceptance and inclusiveness. Yet, the traces of the Nazi regime can still be found, eight decades after its fall. Together we will follow the path of the third Reich, see and hear the stories that will uncover the chilling history lived and experienced in Berlin. We will explore the heart of the Nazi regime where key sites will be discovered: the Reichstag building, a symbol of both destruction and renewal; the former house of the German ministry of aviation (Luftwaffe); the remains of the Gestapo headquarters, the current location of the "topography of terror' museum; the Führer Bunker, where Hitler spared the world from his existence. This 3-hour tour will follow the landmarks - and the people: those who built the regime, those who fought against it, and those whose lives were forever altered.
On our walk through the traces of the third Reich we will stop at the following locations: - the Reichstage building - Soviet war memorial - 'Trains to life - trains to death': the Kindertransport memorial - Former Nazi Ministry of Aviation (Luftwaffe) - Topography of Terror (former HQ of the SS and the Gestapo) - Memorial to the Sinti and Roma victims of National Socialism - Brandenburg gate - Holocaust memorial - Hitler's bunker -Georg Elser memorial
