Berlin under the Nazi Regime - Half-Day Tour

The Nazis despised Berlin for its frivolity, its cabarets, its cosmopolitanism and its freedom, but nevertheless Berlin became their capital. Let me walk with you through the former Nazi governmental district, where you can still see partly the Ministry of Propaganda of Dr. Joseph Goebbels. We will talk also about the Holocaust, by seeing from where the trains departed towards the death camps in the East and by visiting the Villa of the Conference of Wannsee where the Nazis decided the Final Solution of the Jewish Question in Europe. Even if the groups of resistants were small and for most of them unsuccessful, there was a German resistance against the Nazis. To show you that we will go to the Bendler Block, where Claus von Stauffenberg and other officers plotted the coup against Hitler on the 20th of July 1944, know as Operation Walkyrie.
