Berlin Christmas Markets - Express Tour

As the advent season begins, so too do the Christmas Markets. They pop up in nearly every town and city in Germany; beautiful wooden stalls selling glühwein, bratwurst, chocolate, as well has hand-crafted tree decorations and seasonal gifts. Weihnachtsmärkte date back to the 14th Century where locals could buy everything they would need for the Christmas celebration including cake moulds and candles. If you are lucky enough to be in Berlin at this time of year, I would love to take you to a couple of the city's most charming Christmas Markets, each with their own style, all in incredible locations. We will discuss the history behind each area, as well as the meaning and origin of German Christmas Traditions, which in many cases are now ubiquitous across the globe. We will drink Glühwein together and nibble on all of the most traditional treats like Marzipankartoffeln (marzipan made to look like little potatoes) and Gebrannte Mandeln (warm candied almonds).
