Hi there! My name is Sunday -funny name I know! :) - a licensed Tour Guide in France, as well as an Art Advisor for art collectors. Originally from Australia, I fell in love with Paris growing up and have lived in the City of Lights for over 10 years. At the same time, I love it for other reasons; its pastries, cakes, macaroons, its wine, its tasty treats and its design! As a native English speaker my clients find it easy to understand and communicate with me. I work as a Private Tour Guide for individuals, families and small groups, as well as for exclusive guiding companies, from whom I have received many 5 star reviews. Guiding is a passion for me; I adore meeting new people and sharing the love of my adoptive city, its art, its monuments, its style, and its history. ABOUT MY TOURS: As an Art Historian/advisor and Licensed Guide, I'd be happy to guide you through the Louvre, to catch a glimpse of Mona Lisa's smile, to see the beauty in Monet's Water Lily's at the Musee d'Orsay, and to marvel at the wonder of the Eiffel Tower and the architecture of Notre Dame. Let's explore Paris through the best croissant in the city and coffee on a terrace, and lets sample some delicious cheeses next, pairing them with a tasty glass of Burgundy to boot! We could then wander through the design districts and look at where the top designers go to source their pieces. All my essential tours are listed, however should you be after something more unique, I am more than happy to tailor something to your wants and needs; let's discuss. I can adjust tour duration, starting time and meeting point, transportation or anything you want so as to ensure you have the best experience here in Paris! BA in Creative Arts as well as an MA in Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne, Australia, specializing in late 19th and 20th Century Art. Work experience as an assistant curator in Australia, as well as at several reputable commercial art galleries and with many high-profile interior designers. Currently working as a private art and design advisor to international art collectors, and as a Licensed Guide in France. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Join me for a tour of the most extensive museum in the world. Here we will visit the most unmissable artworks within the collection, whilst learning about art historical movements, as well gaining an understanding of French history. Consider it a fun and informative Art Crash Course with a little French history added in! We begin our tour in the Louvre courtyard where we are able to take in the immense history of one of France's most impressive palaces, marvelling at the marvellous architecture, both old and new. Inside the museum, we will see significant works, such as Michelangelo's Slaves, the Venus de Milo, Da Vinci's Mona Lisa and David's Coronation of Napoleon. I've designed this tour so that you get the most out of our 2 and a half hours together. No wasting time waiting in hour-long lines, no getting lost in this massive museum; this tour will give you the highlights of the Louvre and -through stories and discussion- bring these artworks to life.
·We will meet in front of the Louvre Pyramid next to the Louis XIV on horseback sculpture. ·Taking in our surroundings, I will proceed to share a Historical Introduction of the Museum before entering inside. ·To begin the tour of the artworks, we will commence with Michelangelo and Italian Sculptures. -We will then move on to cover Greek Antiquity Sculptures. -Next, we will move towards the Crown Jewels and the Apollo Gallery. -Afterwards, we will see the Mona Lisa and other Italian Paintings. -To finish up, we will cover works of French Masters. This is my traditional tour for first-timers, however I am more than happy to customize the tour according to your wishes. You may also stay inside the museum for longer after the tour ends. Bare in mind the Louvre does not permit re-entry beyond ticket gates.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
