I'm a tour guide passionate about connecting travelers with Normandy's rich history. With over ten years of experience, I've honed my skills in storytelling and communication to create memorable experiences for everyone. I understand the struggle travelers face in finding tours that truly engage them. That's why I've sought out training from the National Association for Interpretation (USA), where I've learned innovative techniques like using all five senses and encouraging open dialogue. These methods allow me to offer immersive experiences that go beyond just sharing facts. With over 1500 tours under my belt, I know the ins and outs of guiding visitors through Normandy's history. I'm dedicated to tailoring each tour to your interests, ensuring you have a personalized and insightful journey. My approach to history is interactive and engaging, whether you prefer a leisurely walk or a longer adventure. I want to ensure you not only learn but also feel connected to the past, making the most of your time in Normandy. If you're looking for a friendly, easy-going guide who is passionate about sharing the beauty and history of Normandy, I would love to have the pleasure of welcoming you on my tour. No documentary can compare to standing in front of the bomb crater at Pointe du Hoc, feeling the wind from the English Channel. Get a firsthand look at the terrifying German pillboxes that the Allied forces faced. As we drive through the Normandy countryside, you'll understand how brave were soldiers who fought here. The unchanged terrain and white headstones of the American cemetery tell the stories of the young soldiers who paid the ultimate price for the liberation of Normandy. My tour is not just about providing facts and stories like any tour guide. I strive to make it special by using a variety of techniques that engage different senses and inspire you to connect with the places and people we visit. I believe in giving you the opportunity to actively engage with the history and construct your own meanings through multi-way dialogue.
Le Havre - La Pointe du Hoc - Omaha Beach - Lunch - American Cemetery - Overlord Museum - Le Havre Please note, we need about 1h45 drive from Le Havre to reach Omaha Beach. First at all, we will see La Pointe du Hoc. Preserved as it was at the end of fighting, this place was taken by US Rangers using grappling hooks. Next, we will see "Bloody Omaha". The 1st and 29th US Divisions had terrible losses on D-day. I'll show exact location of famous "Norman Cota's draw". Also, you will have time to pay your respects at the American Cemetery. Finally, we will make a stop at Overlord Museum to see the exceptional WW2 vehicles collection.
