Hi! My name is Gilles, and I’m delighted to welcome you to Normandy, a region I am proud to call home. Born and raised here, with deep family roots in this land, I’ve always been passionate about its rich history and captivating heritage. Sharing the stories that shaped Normandy and bringing its past to life for my guests is truly what I love most. I speak fluent English, French, and Spanish, making it easy to connect with travelers from all over the world and ensure an exceptional experience tailored to your needs. My fascination with history has guided my career. In the 1990s, after studying cooking and learning the craft of producing apple cider and Calvados, I founded a calvados store in Honfleur, now run by my sister. While I remain a lover of Norman gastronomy, my passion for history took center stage as I began studying and sharing the stories behind iconic sites like Mont-Saint-Michel, the D-Day beaches, and Rouen’s medieval treasures. I’ve dedicated years to uncovering the fascinating details of these locations to make your journey both engaging and insightful. In 2007, my passion for history took me abroad to Mexico, where I spent 14 years exploring another fascinating culture. This incredible experience not only deepened my love for history but also taught me how to craft personalized, seamless tours for my guests. Upon returning to Normandy, I focused on further developing my expertise in the region’s history while working as a driver-guide. This has allowed me to combine my knowledge with a high level of comfort and service. Today, I’m here to help you discover Normandy in style and comfort. My tours are operated in a luxurious Mercedes-Benz V-Class, ensuring a smooth, elegant, and relaxing journey as we explore the region’s iconic sites. Whether it’s a deep dive into the history of the D-Day beaches, marveling at the wonder of Mont-Saint-Michel, or indulging in the flavors of Norman gastronomy, my goal is to craft a unique experience tailored just for you. Let me guide you on an unforgettable adventure where history, culture, and comfort come together. I can’t wait to welcome you and share my passion for Normandy with you!

Le Havre, the last major city in Normandy to be liberated during World War II, holds a unique place in the region’s wartime history. This makes it the perfect starting point for a journey that delves into the pivotal events of D-Day and the liberation of Europe, setting the tone for the sites you’ll explore throughout the day. Embark on a powerful and enriching tour of the D-Day landing beaches, where history comes alive through stories of courage and sacrifice. As a passionate guide with a deep connection to Normandy, I bring personal insights and local expertise to every site, from the iconic Omaha Beach to the American Cemetery, as well as lesser-known places that offer a deeper understanding of the events of 1944. Traveling in the comfort of a luxury Mercedes vehicle, you’ll experience an engaging and seamless journey that is as informative as it is moving. This tour can be fully customized to suit your interests and create an unforgettable experience tailored just for you.
