D-Day Beaches from Le Havre US Sites Shore Excursion

Our trip to Normandy was a memorable experience thanks to Igor. We were a group of 8 on a cruise that stopped in Le Havre, France. He picked us up promptly at 0800, at the cruise port and took us on a whirlwind tour of Omaha and surrounding areas. He planned the tour perfectly to maximize our experience and was very knowledgeable about the history of D-Day, the French response, and the long term impacts to the region. While very solemn, Igor made the experience enjoyable through his humor and expressive personality. Our group has many history buffs, but I think we all learned something new that day. Igor was very prompt and precise with communication, the van was very clean, nice, and sat 8 comfortably. An excellent driver and a stickler for time, he returned us to the cruise port well within the time frame needed for return to the ship. I would HIGHLY recommend Igor for any tours of the Normandy region!

We booked a D-Day Tour with Igor as a shore excursion for our clients, Tom and Donna S. The following are their thoughts: It was a long drive to and from Omaha Beach so having a knowledgeable and engaging guide for the journey was a plus, we felt very informed by the time we walked on the beach. A nice touch was the very French café he arranged for lunch. Because of his experience and past visits to Omaha we had plenty of time to explore and feel the history which surrounded us throughout. He was an exceptional guide. We would recommend him!

We had a great tour. We had asked Igor to customize it since we had visited the area before and he was very accommodating. We were picked up on time -actually a but early - and were back on the ship in time. Being back is crucial to not be left behind so we really appreciated that. Igor is clearly very knowledgeable and made great recommendations throughout. We also feel very comfortable booking through Tours by Locals and will do so again i. The future.

Spent the day with Igor touring around Normandy and the D-Day beaches. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite, engaging, and as my aunt says "easy on the eyes". Van was comfortable and fit our family of 6. Igor answered all of our questions, and had a variety of other media (videos, photos, audio, etc) that he included with his explanations at each site. Would highly recommend.
