Hello and welcome to Normandie! I was born in Cambrai, in the North of France in 1988. I developed an early interest for History by listening to my grandfather's memories, a man who served during the Algerian War. A particular passion for the history and events of World War II arose in me after the release of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" in 1998 when I was only 10 years old. From this point in time, I knew that I wanted to combine my passion with my career. I hold a Degree in Tourism, a "Interpretive National Tour Guide" License and the National Certificate for Tour Guiding which I acquired through my studies in Amiens and Boulogne-sur-Mer. During this time, I obtained essential knowledge in theory and practice, through intensive studies and essential internships, such as at the 39/45 Memorial in Saint Malo. I do not have any restrictions in regards to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences. In 2013, I decided to spend one year in London to fully optimize my English skills. After returning to France in 2014, I was offered a job by the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) at the Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, where I gained an even deeper and precise historical understanding through training, research and work experience. My interactions with veterans and the ceremony of the 70th D-Day anniversary in 2014 have made an immense impact in my perception and awareness of the soldiers and their sacrifice for France during World War II.

On this tour, we'll visit different battlefields, military cemeteries, and memorials in order for you to get a better understanding of the greatest landing operation ever undertaken. On a personal note, my main asset as a guide is not only my knowledge, such as about the landing operation itself but actually my genuine enthusiasm for taking you on this tour. I became passionate about the Second World War when I was 13 years old, so this doesn't seem like a job to me, but something I am fortunate to have the opportunity to do. I have been a battlefield tour guide in Normandy for more than 8 years. During this time, I had the honor of meeting several WWII veterans and had the privilege to guide some of them. So book me to go back to 1944 together!
-After picking you up, we'll first head to Omaha Beach, where I'll explain the details of "Bloody Omaha" with the help of maps and images. -Following this, I will show you the American Cemetery, the resting place of more than 9, 000 American servicemen and women. -Later, I'll take you to will discover the unique site of Pointe du Hoc, which was attacked by the 2nd US Ranger Battalion on a mission to land and climb 100 feet high cliffs in the order to destroy German guns threatening the whole invasion. -Afterwards, we'll take a break for lunch in the charming city of Bayeux.
