There are place where most vehicles are not allowed, and there are distances sometimes to far to walk - so use a bike. Among costal cities of Croatia, Zadar has most perfect layout - streched along the coast and bulit mostly on the flat ground or smaller, no so steep hills. This tour is a bit active or sporty way of getting to know the city. Considering that the city is strong in different sports - sometimes in local but sometimes in international scale, it is the suitable solution for your visit. But you pick your topics - history, wars, arts... I will show you not only the Old Town, that can sometimes be as a tipical tourist photo-session spot, but also the old and the new neighbourghoods to show you how people used to live and how they live now. Learn something, be active and you are already more than an average visitor!
Idealy we meet by my friends bikeshop, but we can meet wherever it is more practical for you and the bikes can be delivered as well. We start with a simple overview of the city history and the city layout, glimpsing the Old Town about 20 minutes. Than we ride about 15-20 minutes to the far end of the city - Puntamika - a moder tourist and residential area of the city hidding different stories. We continue then with a bit uphill 15-20 minutes to Zmirici and Bili Brig where we will have a beautiful panoramas of the city. We will pass the residential areas and sports facilities on our way to more of industraial zone of the city. A part of the ride should be some 15-20 minutes on the sea front as well. Depending on how much talk you want, we can easily rest along the way. Or maybe even take a quick swimm.
