Hello! My name is Lea, Split is my hometown and I'm a licensed tour guide for Split, Dubrovnik and Šibenik county, in English, French and Spanish language. I was born in Split, I have been living here for more than 20 years and I'm passionate about sharing its beauty and culture! I got my Master's degree in Marketing, at the Faculty of Economics here in Split. Following my university studies, I moved to Barcelona to do an internship before returning back to Split. I have always enjoyed learning languages, travelling and experiencing different cultures. Soon after graduation I realised that an office job doesn't suit me and I started to work as a tour guide, which was the best decision I have ever made! When I'm not tour guiding, I love to learn languages - I can speak English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Yoga is also one of my passions, I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) by International Yoga Alliance. Local gastronomy has always interested me, so I decided to do a course for a wine consultant to get to know more about the rich wine history in Croatia. In my free time, I love long walks with my dog and reading books. I absolutely love my job and cannot wait to share with you all the beauties that the city of Split and the region of Dalmatia have to offer! If you were looking for a private guide to experience the region like a true local - you are right where you should be! * University degree in Marketing issued by University of Split, Croatia * Licensed tourist guide for Split-Dalmatia County * Licensed tourist guide for Dubrovnik-Neretva County * Licensed tourist guide for Sibenik-Knin County * Spanish C1 - degree issued by Kingsbrook Idiomas language school in Barcelona * Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language - issued by Cambridge TEFL * French language certificate - B2 * Certified Yoga Teacher by International Yoga Alliance * Certificate for the completion of a course for Wine consultant I am not a driver. I do have a driving license, but I prefer not to drive and guide at the same time. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Overview of your Split tour

Split is my hometown and I absolutely love it! Split has Diocletian's Palace, it has Marjan, beautiful sea and coast, kilometers of beaches, it has history. But what I love the most about this amazing city is its daily life - the lifestyle of its citizens, how they love to spend their time outside, being close to the sea and their connection to the local gastronomy. And we can't talk about local gastronomy without mentioning Split's green market and fish market. Or, as any local would call it, pazar (pron. similar as bazaar, but with the "p") and peškarija (pron. peshkahrya, similar to Italian pescheria). This is an immersive walking tour around beautiful city of Split which would last for 4-5 hours and it includes: guided tour around Split, visiting all the most important monuments, entrances to the substructures of Diocletian's palace, wine tasting paired with some traditional snacks and tasting of local delicacies in a cool street food place.

We did a 1/2 day walking and food tasting tour with Lea. All four of us thought the tour was fabulous! Lea was so personable and friendly. We could not have asked for a better tour guide or tour. Lea showed us around the old town of Split, and we stopped along the way for some local street food, and we had a great lunch with her and got to sample some of the local wine which was excellent. It did help that the weather was perfect, allowing us to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. Our only regret was that we were on a cruise so we only got to spend around 4 hours with Lea. At the end of those 4 hours it was like we were all old friends. We would highly recommend Lea for any of her tours. You will not regret it. Her English is really good and we so much appreciated that.

Great tour for a snapshot of Split and its traditional food! Wonderful Croatian cuisine at places locals frequent. Lea knows her city, its history, and where to find great eats. Her English is flawless. Even with a quick tour, we felt like we'd seen and experienced the city in full.

This was one of the best tours I have ever been on. Lea walked us through the farmers market and we saw and tasted numerous treats; local fruit, vegetables, olive oil, cheese, bread etc. We toured the 17 century old Diocletian castle. We tasted wine, ate gelato and learned about and enjoyed a wonderful place. The tour was very intimate, relaxing, enjoyable and educational. I recommend ToursByLocals tours and Lea for any traveler to Split.
