Overview of your Split tour
I'll be proud to show you 2 great UNESCO sites - Split (Diocletian's palace) and the islet of Trogir. Starting from Trogir (30 minutes driving from Split), you'll have the pleasure to see the islet that is a unique monument of culture and was therefore included in UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1997. Trogir, called "small Venice" or "the city-museum", is considered to be one of the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic towns of central Europe. Ending in Split, the second biggest city in Croatia. . . Diocletian's mausoleum, that ironically become Saint Domnius Cathedral (St. Domnius was martyred in the persecutions of Emperor Diocletian), will leave you breathless. . . the chambers of the palace, an endless labyrinths. . . narrow paved streets, sculptures, open market, fish-market. . . I'll take you to the wonderful journey. . .

Milos did a fantastic tour for our group of four. We drove by car to Trogir, and toured this beautiful resort town on the Adriatic. Then driving back to. Split to a Highlands overview of the city and our ship, then down to the fortress for a detailed walk through the back ways, and alleys and main roads. A great tour.

Milos is a superb guide! He deftly guided us through the back passages of Trogir and was quite informative. Next he took us to a local, non-touristy beachfront restaurant where our table shared several items of authentic Croatian food and drink. Finally, we toured Split and Diocletian's Palace. Even though there were crowds of people, he once again led us through the maze of passages and shared the fascinating story of this ancient structure in a relaxed yet thorough manner. A great day!
