I'm an ex-pat American, a permanent resident of Croatia, and have lived in Split for 20 years. I created and published DiscoverSplit, the city's only free, English language annual newspaper for tourists which you can see online along with the Tourist Board of Split's newest publication, The Split Guide; DiscoverSplit's Restaurant Guide and the Split/Dalmatia Travel Guide. All of these are supported and approved by the Tourist Board of Split, whom I work with as a consultant. I also created the first and only walking map of all the streets and alleys within the actual Palace of Diocletian--which is part of the newspaper. Together with friends who own wineries, restaurants, honey farms and the best professional guides, I have created a suite of intriguing private tours that take you off-the-beaten-track to see places most tourists never see; meet locals; stop by for some amazing cinnamon buns and ice cream; the last remaining filigree silversmith in Split; maybe an iconic local artist if you'd like and even more. When you walk with me, you not only get the in-depth local expertise of a talented, local professional guide, but the nuance, humor and insight of someone who lives here, loves it and has been working with tourists and tour programming in the US as well as in Russia (where I lived and worked for many years)--TWO of us on every tour!. If there's something you would like to do a bit differently than what we have in our programs, just ask. The answer is usually yes! I look forward to meeting you sharing with you this really special part of the world! Do take a look at some of my wonderful reviews from travelers and agents who had a great time here! An oh yes, if there are just two or three of you and you book any program outside of Split, you get to ride in my gorgeous CLK Mercedes convertible. Or if you want a really classic experience, my pristine 1994 Mercedes C 250! Publisher of the 128 page Split-Central Dalmatia Travel Guide to Activities, Events and Destinations; The Split Guide; the Split Restaurant Guide (both supported by the Tourist Board of Split and Dalmatia county); DiscoverSplit, DiscoverHvar, DiscoverSolta and DiscoverKorcula--the only English language newspapers for tourists in these communities. Consultant to the Tourist Board of Split, English language editor of the official tourist board publication Visit Split. Design and develop unique tours and programs working with locals--owners/managers of olive groves; wine shops; restaurants; hotels and more. All programs are led by a registered, local, professional guide, who I accompany since only citizens can be licensed. So you get to see the wonders of Dalmatia through the eyes of an ex-pat American living here for over a decade and great friends of mine who are local, professional guides! All programs are led by a licensed, professional, local Croatian guide. I am with you to share my experiences as an ex-pat living here for 20 years. For programs like sailing, etc., I will meet and escort you to the captain/host.

A day on Solta island, discovering the story of olives, making honey, swimming, with a home cooked lunch and fabulous local island wine! With just 1500 residents, Solta has remained one of the most unspoiled islands in the Adriatic. After we meet you and walk to the ferry, you'll be met by the island's third generation bee keeper, Goran who will take you to his family estate overlooking the ocean. A third generation beekeeper, Goran's honey farm is legendary with visitors coming from more than 100 countries! Learn about the amazing role bees play in our life, see a real hive (behind glass!) and how honey, propolis and other bee products are made; taste a real honeycomb and more, and after the presentation, you'll be treated to a fabulous home-cooked lunch by Natasha , including the island's legendary Dobricic wine! Before the ferry back to Split, time for a glorious swim in the sea or just enjoy a walk around the charming seaside village of Rogac
