Dear visitors, my name is Darko, I've been in love with Croatia since the first day of my life and my goal is to pass that love to You. I was born and raised in Split, pearl of the Mediterranean sea and since forever I am fascinated by history, culture and nature. At the beginning of my career I worked in Croatian national theater and in Split city museum as an official tour guide and that experience with knowledge I got from my older colleagues helped me a lot and gave me a big impulse in becoming freelancer. Today my full time job is producer of cultural events but my true passion is tour guiding. As I am scuba diver, hiker and big fan of football, I incorporate all those hobbies and knowledge in my tours. I am also honored that one of my tours are official history tour from our local football club Hajduk Split - "The rebel tour". * Licensed tourist guide for Split-Dalmatia County ( Split, Trogir, Salona, Klis etc) * Licensed transfer and taxi driver in Croatia (car and van) * NAUI scuba diver licence * Theatrical producer in Croatia. No restrictions.

The history of Split is amazingly rich and it is a big challenge to demonstrate it in couple of hours. Every stone, sculpture, painting or building that we'll see during the tour reveals how turbulent history was here. Different empires and kingdoms that ruled in Split brought many bad things as wars and tyranny but on the other hand, they left a great mark on the culture and society of the city. Peek into the dark rooms of Diocletian's basement, walk through the narrow streets of the Roman palace, experience our lifestyle on the main squares and on the famous promenade. I was born and raised in Split, I work in the city as a theater producer and tour guide. My passion is to convey that love for Split, for its history, culture, and mentality to my guests. It will be my pleasure and honor to be your host in this UNESCO heritage town, "Pearl of Mediterranean" as I like to call my hometown.

Darko was very knowledgeable, accommodating and fun! We recommend him!
We loved having friendship type conversation with Darko, his knowledge of history as he shared the Diocetian Palace in Split, the ruins of Saloma, and Trogir and his ability to customize and get us to our plane on time. We also appreciated the great restaurant he picked out for us for a late lunch and for taking care of all the driving so we could just enjoy ourselves. He was definitely an extra miler and a tour guide we would recommend to others.
Brilliant guide; well balanced itinerary; informative and flexible. Got a very good understanding of Diocletian's Palace and Split in a short time. Darko did a fine job conveying the information in a way that was interesting and easy to picture what life was like there 1,700 years ago. Thank you Darko.
