Hi! I am Filipa and I am happy to welcome you to Split, Croatia from where we will start all of our tours. Overview of your Split tour
In this tour I will offer you a regular walking tour of Split and additional visit to the Green market - place where locals get all the fresh fruits and vegetables. After that we will go to the local restaurant for a bit of olive oil and wine tasting - you will taste local cheese and prosciutto and enjoy a glass of wine. I will share more about olive oil traditions and local food heritage with you. I'm a foodie myself and I feel you get to know a destination with tasting local food and drinks - that's why I want to take you around my hometown and give you an introduction to history and heritage of Split and then take you to Greenmarket and restaurant to taste local flavours.
Your Split tour itinerary
First we will meet at agreed meeting point and start our walking tour around Split city centre where you will visit the most important sights: - in Diocletian's palace like Palace Substructures, - Peristil square, - Vestibul, - Cathedral, - Jupiter's temple, - Golden gate, - Pjaca square. - After the walking tour, we walk around the Green market and sample local food. - Finally we will go to the local restaurant for olive oil tasting experience with food and wine. The tour takes approximately 2. 30 hours. This is a suggested itinerary, but let me know if you want a customized tour. I will be happy to do it.
